This page is in memorium for Lady Alison Irvine of Laird, who sadly passed away in 2025.
Alison was a ‘war baby’, educated in the Social Sciences at Glasgow University and the London School of Economics, and Modern Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she met Anni.
Alison served on the British Council, Wallace Collection, Somerset House Trust, Cavatina Music Trust and other various charities involved in drug addiction and medical care.
She was passionate about the Fine Arts, Travelling, Theatre and Classical Music and was an active mother and grandmother.
Alison was instrumental in helping Anni and Tris found Intersticia UK and she was an inspirational mentor and friend to Anni over many years.
In all the work we do we will ask ourselves how Alison would continue to challenge us and ensure that whatever we do at Intersticia UK is something that contributes posititvely to the world and continues to ensure it is of beneift humanity.
We miss her greatly.
